Veterinary Referrals

A veterinary referral is not required for all sessions, but certain medical conditions do require approval before we proceed. Massage has contraindications, and if any are present, we’ll need a referral form from your veterinarian before scheduling a session.

This is for your pet’s safety, as massage and acupressure are complementary therapies, not replacements for veterinary care. Our goal is to support your dog’s overall well-being while working alongside any treatment plans recommended by your veterinarian.

Our policies and contraindications for massage that require a veterinary referral are as listed below:

Our Policies:

  • New injuries: (soft tissue or orthopedic) i.e. limping, sprains, tendonitis, etc.

  • Soft tissue and/or orthopedic surgery within the last 3 months
